This is the first of two blog posts featuring videos showing Animal Rahat’s rescue team in action. The cases involve dogs who fell victim to human-made hazards. Thankfully in each case, someone thought to call Animal Rahat for help.
When Animal Rahat found the dog in the video below, she was hopelessly tangled in barbed wire. Her skin was stuck on the barbs, and she was unable to move. She would have likely endured a slow and painful death without human assistance.
Fortunately, with a bit of patience and skill, Animal Rahat’s rescue team was able to release her from that terrifying trap. The group also spayed and vaccinated her.
The dog in this next video got her head stuck in a jar while searching for food on a college campus. Security officers called Animal Rahat, and team members raced to save her. Not only did they remove the jar, they also spayed and vaccinated her and trimmed her overgrown nails. Her story had a happy ending, but empty jars remain a threat to animals throughout India. That’s why Animal Rahat erects billboards at dump sites urging people to secure lids tightly before disposing of empty food containers.
