Since its founding in 2003, Animal Rahat has helped more than 100,000 animals—from calves abandoned in floodwater to dogs trapped in sewage to monkeys, horses, and camels forced to work as entertainment.
Every day, Animal Rahat provides more than 240 rescued animals with lifelong sanctuary, and it works throughout the year to replace working animals—including donkeys used to haul bricks, bullocks used to haul sugarcane, and horses used to haul carts—with vehicles like eco-tractors and e-rickshaws.
The new video honoring Animal Rahat’s 15th anniversary provides a glimpse of the ways it’s making a difference for animals in India. Please take a moment to watch it and celebrate some of what your compassion and support have helped make possible.
