This fruit bat was in a panic after his wing and foot became entangled in cotton thread. The rescue team rushed to help him, gently placing him in a box and transporting him to the nearest field office. The veterinarian’s assistant held the little fellow still while the veterinarian carefully cut away all the thread. He wasn’t injured, but they kept him safe until the sun went down then released him where he’d been found. His rescuers watched as the gorgeous bat took flight, no doubt grateful to be free.
