They may not teach rappelling in veterinary school, but Animal Rahat’s veterinarians learn this skill so that they’re prepared for situations like this one:
This poor family cat tumbled into a 90-foot-deep well and could only crouch on a tiny ledge, barely big enough for her body, and wait for someone to rescue her. Fortunately, she wasn’t there long before an Animal Rahat veterinarian scaled down, sedated the traumatized cat, and gently placed her into a basket so that team members could carefully lift her out of the well.
Once she and her rescuer were safely aboveground, he examined her thoroughly.
She had no noticeable injuries, and after receiving painkillers to help with any discomfort from the fall, she was ready to return to her family. Her guardians were overjoyed to have her home, safe and sound, and Animal Rahat’s team will be following up soon to spay and vaccinate her.
