Children have an innate compassion for animals, and Animal Rahat’s humane education program is helping them tap into it to become even better friends to the dogs, bullocks, and other animals in their lives.

A recent example of the impact of this vital work is the terrific success of Animal Rahat’s campaign urging students to pledge to leave firecrackers (which terrify animals) out of holiday celebrations like Diwali and to be kind to animals and the environment year-round.

The result? Last month, more than 8,000 students from 49 schools signed Animal Rahat’s pledge! Now that’s something to celebrate—without firecrackers, of course.
