Three rescued horses touch noses with one another at the Animal Rahat Ranapur sanctuary.
When horses touch noses, it’s not just a casual hello—it’s a meeting of manes and minds.

Animal Rahat’s allies at PETA India aren’t wasting any time modernizing in Delhi. Seven sweethearts who have known only a hard life have arrived at the Ranapur sanctuary to begin their retirement in the beauty of this thriving fruit orchard—the best retirement home in the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Their former owners are now zooming through Delhi’s chaotic streets in e-vehicles, thanks to PETA India’s help. Meanwhile, staff are tending to these horses, who have never felt freedom before but can now take it easy and form lifetime bonds with one another.
