Scared and in extreme pain with part of a barbed-wire fence embedded in his flesh, this normally gentle village dog wouldn’t let anyone come near. Thank goodness kind locals knew just who to call: CRISIS BUSTERS! Maneuvering carefully, the on-call veterinarian administered a sedative, overcoming the first hurdle. Barbed wire is extremely difficult to cut, and the team’s cutting tool wasn’t strong enough. Staffers raced through the area, returning with a neighbor’s electric wire cutter, and carefully freed their patient before performing emergency surgery on the spot. After some TLC in the nearest field office, a sterilization surgery, and vaccinations, the now happy pup was soon on his way home.
