A misstep sent a cat plummeting into a narrow duct. Her distraught mews reached a nearby villager, who called Animal Rahat for help.

The team rushed to the scene and lowered a trap cage with pungent food inside, but she was too distressed to eat. Using a large bamboo stick and a net instead, they got her to climb on top of the cage and carefully hoisted her out.

Once liberated, the terrified feline fled to familiar territory.
