They may not teach rappelling in veterinary school, but Animal Rahat’s veterinarians learn this skill so that they’re prepared for situations like this one:

A cat crouches on a ledge in a 90-foot-deep well.

This poor family cat tumbled into a 90-foot-deep well and could only crouch on a tiny ledge, barely big enough for her body, and wait for someone to rescue her. Fortunately, she wasn’t there long before an Animal Rahat veterinarian scaled down, sedated the traumatized cat, and gently placed her into a basket so that team members could carefully lift her out of the well.

An Animal Rahat veterinarian scales down into the well to retrieve the terrified cat.

Once she and her rescuer were safely aboveground, he examined her thoroughly.

An Animal Rahat veterinarian thoroughly examines the cat to ensure that she didn't sustain any injuries from the fall.

She had no noticeable injuries, and after receiving painkillers to help with any discomfort from the fall, she was ready to return to her family. Her guardians were overjoyed to have her home, safe and sound, and Animal Rahat’s team will be following up soon to spay and vaccinate her.

The cat's family was grateful to have her back home.

Please donate to help ensure that Animal Rahat can be there for the next animal in desperate need of rescue.
